Morning everybody. It’s been quite a while since I’ve last reached out to everybody on here. I used to drop in and say hello weekly, but I’ve since been busy with school, training, and life. This is a good thing!!! Just haven’t had the time to write everyone a message, so I’m doing it now.
Life is wonderful! School is going great. It’s amazing how much I’ve grown up from just 3 years ago, yet I’m still a big kid. I’ve matured a great deal mentally and finally put real stock into the things I do. Took everything for granted before. God has saved me, He can save all…
The last time I wrote a message like this, I hadn’t picked up a drink since putting it down in late-2006. Well, that time has come to pass. I have recently drank on occasion and, for the most part, successfully so, with no inclination to go any further than a few drinks. I don’t truly know what this means. I mean I love the ability to wake up in the morning fresh and clean and wide-awake, ready to take on the day, as opposed to feeling like a bag of shit. You get the picture. Thing is though, I had a great time and I didn’t feel guilty. I don’t look at alcohol as an escape anymore…No need to.
I have a great deal of joy and confidence in life now, free of guilt, shame, and apathy. I don’t live in drudgery. I look forward to each day, aware and alive. I strive to achieve where I used to run and hide. I have meaning, I have purpose, He walks with me…
As of now, I’m feeling a lot of things out in my career as a fighter. We all know that EliteXC has gone under. My contract with them is in limbo somewhere. One way or the other, with the proper perspective, life always works out. It’s not the situations that cause us the problems; it’s how we react to them.
I’ve got some things on the table in this arena. 95% chance I’ll be traveling to Russia for a few weeks in April because of the great sport of MMA. Looking at fighting before then though, even as close as late-December. I’ll keep you all update
Hello Absolution Project!! Thanks for adding MMP. This page is here for you to use and abuse to spread your news, so stop by often and help me help you spread the Metal:)
